Refund policy
Clear rules for refund eligibility, timelines, and how to request one for Backupbenchbase programs.
Eligibility
Paid enrollments arranged with Backupbenchbase may qualify for a refund when cancellation meets the timeframes below and materials access has not been abused. Informational prices on this website do not themselves create a purchase.
Timeframe
For Contour Cohort seats, a full refund request must arrive at least 14 days before the cohort start date. Requests inside 14 days may receive a partial refund as described below. Map Desk purchases may be refunded within 7 days of payment if fewer than two critique clinics have been used.
Full or partial refunds
Full refunds apply when eligibility and timeframe conditions are met and downloadable materials have not been redistributed. Partial refunds (typically 50%) may apply for late cohort cancellations before the third live session. After the third live session, tuition is generally non-refundable.
Non-refundable items
Third-party fees, completed private workshops already delivered, custom dataset preparation already performed for an Atlas Retainer, and certificate re-issue fees are non-refundable.
Refund process
Email contact@backupbenchbase.digital with your full name, program name, payment reference, and reason for the request. We confirm receipt within two business days and outline next steps.
Processing time
Approved refunds are typically processed within 10 business days after approval. Bank timelines may add additional days depending on your institution.
Refund method
Refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. If that method is unavailable, we will arrange an alternative transfer after identity verification.
Cancellation
Backupbenchbase may cancel or reschedule a cohort due to instructor illness or insufficient enrollment. In those cases you may transfer to a later cohort or request a full refund of amounts paid for the canceled seats.
Exceptions
We may consider compassionate exceptions for documented emergencies. Exceptions are discretionary and do not create precedent.
